Something Unique: I love science and maths! Because of this...I'm pretty sure I've spent more time playing games that all other activities in my life combined.
Attended: Salt Lake Community College, University of Utah, Westminster college: B.S. in Mathematics with a minor in Physics (Westminster), Masters in Teaching (Westminster)
I worked for 10 years as a network administrator and programmer, then decided that I wanted to follow my passion in life and do physics for a living. I love to play classical piano, chess, video games, golf, go snowboarding, etc... Me and my wife have two sons; one is 2.5 yrs old and the other is -.4 years old (He'll hatch January 2017).
I truly love doing science, especially with young minds; it's just exhilarating to see that moment when they have a breakthrough of knowledge after working hard and doing experiments. Leaving a great IT job to come teach high school is evidence of that. The reason I bring that up is because I am passionate about my job teaching physics and everyone should know they're going to learn a lot, gain a tremendous amount of confidence, and a logical thought process as a result of being in my class.
