Calendar Options
The Salt Lake City School District Calendar Committee has finalized three options for the next three school years 2023-24, 2024-25, 2025-26. Highland High will be collecting calendar option votes from parents/community, SIC, SCC, faculty and staff. We will submit our collective vote back to the committee to present to the SLCSD Board, who will review all district votes before they make a final choice.
CONSIDERATIONS when deciding which calendar to vote for:
- Time in class before final exams
- IB, AP, Aspire, etc.
- End of year Aspire testing is scheduled by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) and is not affected by our calendar choices: Assessments (utah.gov)
- Length of school breaks / Holidays
- Summer / Summer School Offerings
- Community Schedules
- Neighboring School District Schedules
- Meeting college/scholarship deadlines/final transcripts
- Program or Club Schedules
