Something Unique: In the 3rd grade I failed my multiplication facts test, repeatedly. My father encouraged me to persist and practice the math until I got 100%. After lots of hard work and study, I did it!
Attended: Western Michigan University and National Louis University
I have taught for 19 years in the public classroom and tutored privately for 7 years. My experiences have spanned the United States, where I have taught in Michigan, Illinois, New Hampshire and Utah. I have my M.Ed., ESL endorsement, and AVID trained. I currently serve as department chair, sit on SLCSD math committees, and am an advocate for PLC use among my colleagues. I hope to broaden my lessons with TInspire technology and conceptual math to prepare students for jobs in the STEM fields.
