I need to stay home if…

  • I have a fever (100.4 or above) or chills.
  • I have a cough, unrelated to asthma or different than normal.
  • I have shortness of breath or difficulty breathing.
  • I have a sore throat.
  • I have muscle or body aches, not explained by exercise.
  • I have congestion or runny nose.
  • I have vomited or been nauseous.
  • I have diarrhea.
  • I have new loss of taste or smell.
  • I have been exposed to anyone with COVID.

I am ready to go to school when…

  • At least 10 days have passed since the first symptom appeared, symptoms have improved, and there has been no fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing mdeciation OR
  • Students have a note from a healthcare professional containing another diagnosis OR
  • If there was no known exposure: students may return if they have a negative COVID-19 test, symptoms have improved, AND there has been no fever for at least 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication with a release from a medical provider or health department.
