"The Taylor Munroe Spirit of Highland Award"

This award celebrates a Highland student (senior) who exemplifies or inspires the positive values and behaviors that define 'The Highland Way'. Recipients of this award are characterized by making a difference; going above and beyond in support of Highland's mission. 

The Taylor Munroe Spirit of Award is bestowed annually during our graduation ceremony.

We have a very important deadline coming up on **Extended to** Thursday, February 29, 2024 for all graduation and cap and gown orders.  Please remember, our school has a custom-made cap and gown for our graduation commencement, and it takes time to make these items for you. We need you to get this ordered and complete.  You are late if you have not ordered.

Orders for your Highland High School Cap & Gown, Graduation Announcements, Graduation Ring, Letter Jacket and any other graduation related items may be placed online at the links below.  Please make sure you order on time to ensure your gown is made correctly based on your height and weight measurements.  

Orders need to be placed online by Thursday, February 29, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact our graduation provider, Jostens at the number below. They need your order placed as soon as possible.

Jostens will ship the graduation items you order directly to your home. The cap and gown will ship to our school and will be handed out this spring, which will be communicated to you via email at a later date.

The following are your graduation ordering options:

·      Option 1:  Order your cap and gown as part of a graduation announcement and celebration package. Choose and click option 1 below.

·      Option 2:  Order your cap and gown unit, or, order cap and gown and other graduation/celebration items individually such as the exclusive mascot tassels, graduation announcements or swag. Choose and click option 2 link below.

*NOTE: all tassels and caps and gowns will be delivered in our custom Highland High School colors.  Our exclusive custom mascot tassel will be the custom Class of 2024 Highland High Ram Tassel.

• Bring the whole family! No tickets required and no limit on audience members/guests
• No candy leis on the graduation floor
• No confetti whatsoever is allowed in or around the arena and its grounds
  SLCSD's Class of 2022 High School graduations had family members and friends release confetti bombs into the audience and graduation floor causing a $10,000 cleanup fee to each High School, please help us by not bringing confetti.

Graduation Photos can be ordered online through Island Photography. They will email you a pin to use. Contact information can be found on their webpage: https://www.islandphoto.com/

We start looking for an individual (or duo) to perform an inspirational musical piece at graduation. To try out, please email a recording of you performing the piece to hhs@slcschools.org by April 1st. Make sure to include your name and information about the piece. 

Valedictorian candidates are reviewed the beginning of 4th term and those that qualify receive a medallion at awards night or graduation. 

Interested in giving the Valedictorian Address at graduation? Only Valedictorian candidates may try out. Email a draft of a 2-minute speech to hhs@slcschools.org with your name and valedictorian status by April 16th. 

• Students must maintain a 4.0 cumulative GPA over the course of four full schedule academic years.
• Only grades earned within their specific academic year are eligible for consideration.
• A rigorous schedule is expected - especially during the senior year. Teacher’s Aide and Home Release greater than 1.0 credit (equal to one year-long class) will disqualify the student from consideration.
