Academic Support

Academic Support at Highland

  • Every Tuesday and Wednesday, schedules will include dedicated time towards the end of the school day. This time will allow students to catch up on assignments, study for upcoming assessments, and receive extra support from their teachers. Our goal is to empower every student to take charge of their learning and build strong academic habits.

  • Math Tutoring

Every Tuesday and Wednesday from 3:30- 4:30 in Room D326

  • Credit Recovery at Highland-

If you have failed classes necessary for graduation you have the opportunity to complete packets to make up your credit so you are on track for graduation.

Meet with your counselor to get enrolled in our credit recovery course.

    Independent Options-

Choosing to do online courses during the school year will reduce the number of classes and credits you can take at Highland HS. If you are interested in taking online classes or doing packets make an appointment with your counselor.

  • The Student Services Committee (SSC) is a collaborative team comprised of administrators, counselors, advocates, and teachers. Students may be referred to SSC by Highland faculty. The committee meets weekly to discuss student concerns, develop intervention strategies, and coordinate support plans to best meet student needs. Parents and guardians are included in the process to ensure open communication and a comprehensive approach to supporting each student.
